We all know who is the first person to go to space, of course it is Yuri Gagarin but we don't know who was the first women, the first women to go to space was V.V.Tereshkova.
The first woman to orbit the earth was Valentina Vladirimirovna Tereshkova.
She was launched in VOSTOK 6 from USSRon 16 june 1963.
Before going to space she was a textile-factory assembly worker.
